Leaping Lions

About me:
I am 22. I am single. I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. I also think myself to be a Typographer ;]. I love drinking tea and coffee. Movies, Video Games (mainly GW2 right now), Oldies music, doodling, illustrating, and random other stuff is how I tend to spend my time. I love science fiction stuff. Both outerspace and fantasy. Oh, and if you follow me, I will follow back '

A great place to find amazing Pens.

I have always loved drawing. It’s been a passion of mine since I was about 9. I love doodling and just sketching out random monsters and just nonsense. In school (especially math) I would just doodle all over my homework. I always loved pens. I remember in Elementary school when we weren’t aloud to use pens until the 4th grade, because of their permanent nature. Just something about drawing, and making a mistake, and find a good way to make something amazing out that mistake. I always used everyday pens, and I always wanted more. I had gel pens from here to there, but it wasn’t filling my needs.

I knew that there were tons of different mediums for less permanent drawings, Like charcoal and pencil and such. I always wondered if there was some kind of super pen store that had a huge amount of different types of pens. Just not the way the case was, but the way they felt and the thickness of them. When I started college, I noticed my professor had a huge collection of pens. He had roll after roll of just such different styles. One day I asked him where he got his collection. He pointed out his favorite and simply said “Jet Pens”. I was replied “What?”. Then he went on telling me about this site.

I get home and look up the website. I swear, I am like a kid at a candy shop. I see all these new and exciting things. I quickly register an account and build up a huge wishlist. I find out what my favorites are, and what kind of pens I don’t really prefer. I love brush pens and felt tip pens. One of my favorite is a set of Micron Pens. They just flow on the paper and just feel great, and they range in a vast scale of thickness. They are also archival so it makes it even better.

So recently I got this Sakura Pigma Micron 05 Marker Pen - 0.45 mm - Brown from Jetpens. I signed up to be a reviewer. In which I honestly can say I didn’t expect would get the chance. Also I kind of thought I would get sent something to review that I wasn’t fond of, in which I would of had a misled review. But to my surprise it was a Micron pen. One of my favorite brands. I thrilled me when I saw it. Its color gives an antique look when used in my moleskin sketchbook. On white paper it looks even better. The pen flows on the paper like a new ice skate on fresh ice (Is that slippery and smooth?).

You might be saying “Oh well he just worked this up because they gave him a free pen”. This isn’t the point. I have always loved jetpens, and its the only place I can find where to buy pens I love. I can’t go the the stores around me to find pens half as quality as these. So you should go over and check them out. Thanks for reading.
